The ALCER association came to our school on the afternoon of Monday 16 February to talk about who they are and the importance of organ donation in our society. We learned and talked at length about chronic kidney disease and were encouraged to reflect on everything we talked about. It was a pleasure to have them!
Did you know that the historic center of Santiago de Compostela was surrounded for years by a large wall of almost two kilometers? And that possibly in your day-to-day life you pass through one of the gates of the wall that were strategic in the Middle Ages? Little is known about the original construction of the wall, although the Calixtine Codex did refer to the seven main gates, which served as communication between the city and the countryside. It was Porta Faxeira, Porta da Mámoa, Porta do Camiño, Porta da Pena, Porta de San Francisco, Mazarelos and Porta da Trinidade.
The Leroy Merlín company offered a different and fun morning to second and third cycle primary school students. Through a game of tests and questions, they learned interesting concepts about the circular economy and responsible consumption.
The students of Infant Education and 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Primary Education sent their letters today with their requests for the three kings of the East, Melchor, Gaspar and Baltasar. We hope that everyone behaved very well so that they bring everything they asked for as much as possible, because we already know that sometimes everything can't be because we have to share it with the other boys and girls in the world. Here you have them depositing their wishes in the royal mailbox so that the royal page will then come to find it and take it to Their Majesties.
This year we were lucky again and after a few weeks of continuous rain last Friday, November 25, the weather gave a respite - it wasn't going to be less - so that our little ones could once again compete in the Milagrosa race. A lot of anticipation and a lot of nerves too, it's a very special occasion where emotions run high as anyone who was there can testify.
