Our student Carmen C. of 1st year of Primary Education received the prize for the 1st cycle of the Drawing Competition for School Centers "Xosé Antón G. González-Ledo. Drawing our heritage", called by the Instituto de Estudios Gallegos Padre Sarmiento (IEGPS) , joint center of the Superior Council of Scientific Research (CSIC) and the Xunta de Galicia, part of the Science and Technology Week held last November.

The aim of the competition was to encourage and involve the little ones in the interest in respect, care and dissemination of the Galician historical-artistic heritage through their artistic expression. For this, the participants had to draw or illustrate an element that is part of a monument that has historical, archaeological or similar value (churches, parks, sculptures, palaces, coats of arms...) of the city of Santiago de Compostela, declared a Heritage Site in 1985 Cultural of humanity by UNESCO.
