History

Welcome to the “La Milagrosa” School in Santiago de Compostela.

We are a hardworking and dynamic team of lay people, with a clear and well-defined line of training, which randomly prevents them from taking part in any aspect related to the education of our students.

The "La Milagrosa" School is a community that adapts to the new times by incorporating in its curriculum the positive aspects of evolution and technology and remains traditional in the principles related to respect, collaboration and the pursuit of good.

A place where families feel, from the first moment of their incorporation, an important part of the Center, making each of our illusions their own.

Our motto is "joy in effort" and we meet him every day when, when we greet each other in the morning, we never forget to wish each other good morning.

Who we are and where we came from

Since 1935, this school has been the educational channel of the Santa Marta district, starting at that time with a unit in the place of As Barreiras.

Later, the "Fundación Visita Domiciliaria da Virxe Milagrosa", owner of the Center, bought land on Tras Espiñeira Street in which he built a building that housed three units to meet the schooling needs of a very marginal neighborhood.

Given the nature of the Foundation's educational work, it has been declared of "Beneficial-Teaching Interest" (BOE of 31 December 1950)

The Ministry of Education and Science (OM of October 29, 1974) classified the "Schools of La Milagrosa" as a center subsidized one hundred percent, qualified to teach EXB levels, after carrying out the necessary works for final qualification. Made the corresponding reforms in that year, it was transformed into a center with a unit of Preschool and eight of EXB

On May 14, 1983, the DOG published the Order of the Ministry of Education that gives the school "A Milagrosa" the final classification. Subsequently, a new Preschool unit also achieved this classification by Order of the Ministry of Education dated June 21, 1991.

On May 6, 1999, the "Fundación Visita Domiciliaria Virxe Milagrosa" was declared a "Foundation of Galician Interest", registered in the Register under number 1,926 / 3.

It currently consists of a total of nine units: three belonging to the second cycle of Ed. Infantile and six of Ed. Primary.
