Last week, the 6th grade students received a visit from a member of the ALCER association (Association for the Fight Against Kidney Diseases) as part of its "7 lives" program, aimed at raising awareness among the youngest about kidney diseases, replacement treatments and the importance of organ donation. They also had the presence of a volunteer with chronic kidney disease who has been transplanted twice and is waiting to do it again, so they could hear first hand the scope of this disease and what it entails in the day to day life of each of these patients.
